CHANSON CALHOUN

On August 14th, 2014, Chanson Calhoun launched her independent music career with a concert at HARD ROCK LOUISVILLE. She is now the first African American female local artist to headline a show at Hard Rock Louisville.

Since this thrilling concert, the songstress has managed to: build a powerful network in Derby City, become a top 5 finalist in 2015 Hard Rock Rising Barcelona, where herself and 3 band mates travelled to Spain to perform for a live audience and Ms. Calhoun had also become the winner of 2017 Kentuckiana Idol and won the opportunity to travel to Savannah, Georgia to audition for American Idol.

On August 14th, 2020, she became the CEO/founder of Enchanted Boutique and Creative Space. This creative Mecca is something for artists to have access to, for putting on shows and selling their merchandise, as well as a whole list of other services.

She has worked intensely with her brother, Harold Calhoun, (also known as SOLE) artist/producer. He has been producing for her since she was 13 and they have created an amazing debut album titled, “ELEMENT”. This album is an introduction to who she is and what she stands for, women empowerment.

January 29, 2022, Harold Calhoun transitioned out of this world due to complications from Covid-19. Chanson has plans to amplify her focus back on recording and releasing music in honor of the dreams her and her brother share deeply.

Since the release of ELEMENT, the recording studio has been a therapeutic place to craft the highly anticipated EP titled, STRANGE, set to release in 2023.
